On the Move Again!

It was already Wednesday April 4, 2012, which meant it was time to leave Mercy Home. I couldn't believe how fast time moved while there. We broke off into two groups again, one team stayed to clean up the rooms we stayed in while the other team climbed the mountain with the fortress I had climbed on my first trip to India. Since I had already hiked that mountain I decided to stay and clean up. I was able to see some of the kids and say bye to them. I jumped in on some of their songs before we left. They wished us safe travels but were sad to see us go.

We ended up going back to House of Compassion because some never saw the home and we had more donations. I got to see Chandu one more time! He was so happy to see me but I think I was happier! He was the first one out of the door as you can see. We only stayed for like 15 minutes. I wish it was more. I wish I could adopt him.

We traveled about an hour and a half to Peace Home and Eternal Joy. We were able to hear from the house parent of Peace Home and the principal of the school. It is always encouraging to hear how these people sacrifice so much for these children and how they got in those positions. We had some time to play with the children from both homes. We gave the kids bouncy balls, and they loved them! I played toss with Gopi and Raju from Eternal Joy. I also played with Nithin and Sonu from Peace Home. I gave Raju a piggy-back ride and chased him around the building. He was laughing the entire time and sliding all over the place.

There was a terrible accident while we were there. It was so sad because we were all having such a good time. A girl named Shereesha fell off a ledge she was sitting on and cracked her head open. Thankfully one of the Brits was a nurse and was able to help her. They did however have to take her to the hospital for observation. It was a sad way to end the time with the children but that's how it happened. We left the kids for the hotel and ended our day with special prayers for Shereesha's health.
