Fresh out of college, specifically Miami University in May 2010, I would say I was the typical guy still not knowing exactly what I wanted out of life. Who knows at that point in their lives? I think it is safe to say that if you did then you were lucky! It isn't that I never thought about what I wanted to do because college spurs those thoughts in our minds but I believe I didn't know who I was exactly. We are constantly learning about ourselves as individuals through our actions, reactions, thoughts, and beliefs.

I have always wanted my career to be helping others in some form, not really sure in what capacity. This stems from me becoming a Christian when I was 15 years old. Since then my view on others has changed drastically. I used to be very critical thinking that I was always right and never made mistakes. Obviously this was far from the truth. I developed a deep compassion for others who didn't have the knowledge that I did about Jesus. It is amazing to see how God has worked in my life, his workings are ever present. I went from being a small-town boy who was shy and not social at all to what some would call a globe trotter that travels across the world by himself.

Despite what was mentioned above, I still had desires and a vision for how my life should be. My degree was in International Studies and I had a dream of doing intelligence or international affairs work for the government when I graduated. As many may know, this is a competitive field. The timing of my graduation and trying to find a job in that field were in my mind the worst thing. Little did I know that it was perfect timing. Had I gotten a government job then I never would have experienced what has changed my life forever and found my true passion and calling.
